About The Position
Bring energy, creativity, and connection to Providence Place as our next Director of Activities! In this leadership role, you’ll design and deliver engaging programs that support residents’ social, physical, intellectual, and spiritual well‑being. From crafting monthly calendars to coordinating volunteers, planning outings, and partnering with local organizations, you’ll be the heartbeat of resident life.
Requirements
- 4-year degree in Recreational Therapy or related field.
- Experience in skilled nursing, long term care, or memory care.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Nice To Haves
- Background in recreational programming for older adults preferred
- Supervisory experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead diverse recreational, educational, cultural, and spiritual activities
- Build strong relationships with community groups, churches, and volunteers
- Oversee Activity staff, common spaces, and program logistics
- Participate in resident care planning and maintain required documentation
- Organize trips, events, and creative programming on and off campus
- Welcome new residents and help them get involved
- Assist with budgeting, purchasing, and transportation needs
