About The Position

We're partnering with a fast-growing AI consulting firm that helps organizations turn artificial intelligence into measurable business impact. This Director of AI role is a senior, client-facing leadership position responsible for owning AI transformation across a portfolio of clients while leading a small, cross-functional delivery team. You'll act as a fractional AI leader for client organizations—shaping strategy, guiding execution, and driving adoption—while also owning account growth and team performance.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in consulting, agency, or client-based environments
Proven experience leading AI, digital, or technology-driven initiatives for multiple clients
Strong executive presence with the ability to advise and influence senior stakeholders
Experience managing and developing high-performing technical or hybrid teams
Solid understanding of applied AI, automation, and modern AI systems
Comfortable owning revenue, growth, and delivery outcomes simultaneously

Responsibilities

Serve as the senior AI strategy advisor for 5–10 client organizations, partnering closely with executive leadership
Define and lead AI roadmaps aligned to business goals, operational realities, and ROI
Translate complex business challenges into practical, scalable AI and automation solutions
Own client relationships end-to-end, driving satisfaction, retention, and expansion
Identify and lead new opportunities within existing accounts, including scoping and closing expansion work
Lead and develop a cross-functional team of AI strategists, engineers, and automation specialists
Oversee delivery from strategy through implementation and adoption, ensuring quality and impact
Own financial performance for your client portfolio, including revenue growth and profitability
