About The Position

The Director of Clinical Education for Radiology and Allied Health reports to the Director of Radiologic Technology & Allied Health Sciences. The Director of Clinical Education is responsible for clinical coordination and placements of Rad Tech and Medical Assistant students within the appropriate clinical partner facilities, and all tasks and responsibilities related to clinical placement of students within clinical setting including compliance with all regulatory and approving bodies. Appointment and Evaluation The Director of Clinical Education is appointed Director of Radiologic Technology & Allied Health Sciences. The term of office and review of service shall be incompliance with the policies of Spalding University and is evaluated annually by the Director of Radiologic Technology & Allied Health Sciences.

Requirements

  • Hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree (or have completed degree by Q1 of January 2027)
  • Current ARRT Licensure
  • At least five years’ experience as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Demonstrated technological competencies including the ability to navigate online system applications.
  • Has experience with recruitment, clinical placement, and/or Radiologic Science academic standards.
  • Has experience teaching in a clinical or educational capacity
  • Has experience in growing relationships and partnerships.
  • Thinks creatively and critically.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Has high level or organizational skills.
  • Accepts responsibility for his/her own actions and assigned responsibilities.
  • Completes assigned tasks in a thorough and timely manner.
  • Works effectively as a member of a team.
  • Be proficient with computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates clinical placement sites for Radiologic Technology and Medical Assisting in collaboration with Director of Radiology and Allied Health and/or course faculty.
  • Ensures all clinical contracts are current and establishes new clinical contracts when necessary.
  • In collaboration with Radiology and Allied Health director, assists in onboarding new adjunct clinical instructors and ensures compliance with JRCERT/ARRT regulations.
  • Ensures all students completed required clinical compliance documentation per Allied Health clinical placement policy, student handbooks, and clinical partners’ policies.
  • Coordinates collection of clinical experience surveys and reports data collected with Allied health leadership.
  • Attends program meetings to communicate progress, clinical feedback, and/or data collected.
  • Informs the faculty regarding any clinical issues and grievances.
  • Assists in resolution of student or facility concerns regarding clinical experiences in collaboration with the allied health leadership.
  • Cultivates and grows relationships with clinical partners.
  • Instructs the clinical courses including but not limited to conducting on site clinical competencies and in house testing when applicable.
