About the position

The Director of Human Resources (“HR”) is a critical member of the Premier Community Supports Executive Team. The Director of HR is responsible for all HR functions within Premier. This includes oversight of the teams responsible for: employee onboarding and offboarding/disciplinary actions, leave, worker’s compensation, benefits processing, disciplinary actions, compliance, recruiting, training & development, and employee development activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage ethically and consistently with Premier’s Mission Statement, Policies, and Procedures.
  • Complete tasks effectively and efficiently according to Premier’s most current Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
  • Ensure Premier’s compliance with applicable authoritative bodies by developing and implementing applicable SOP’s for the HR Function.
  • Act in Good Faith and Sound Financial Judgement to ensure compliance with government mandates.
  • Demonstrate and incorporate principles of safety for self and others in daily activities.
  • Maintain punctuality, regular attendance, and communicate unexpected changes in work schedule.
  • Perform job duties in a prompt, thorough, acceptable manner, including meeting or exceeding deadlines.
  • Work cooperatively with all of Premier’s staff members and other persons contacted while performing duties.
  • Comply with Federal and State laws regarding HIPAA Privacy Law and staff, program, and management confidentiality.
  • Safeguard Premier property and report any incident of theft, fraud, waste, or unauthorized possession of company property.
  • Support the Premier Community Supports Executive Team with all People-Related matters.
  • Own, maintain, and provide strategic insight into appropriate organizational structures.
  • Assist with workforce readiness and pipeline initiatives to support healthy, sustainable growth within the Organization.
  • Oversee various HR compliance areas including onboarding, disciplinary actions, labor law compliance, and employee benefits.
  • Coordinate with Finance & Accounting around Benefit Processing.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for vendors in employee benefits and workers compensation.
  • Support CEO through Organizational Redesign efforts.
  • Formalize plan for Premier’s Workforce 2.0 pipeline initiatives.
  • Further Employee Relations efforts, including EOC initiatives and Employee Engagement.
  • Stay current with all Federal and State laws, guidelines, regulations pertaining to the Human Resources Department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Post Baccalaureate, or Master’s degree in related field from an accredited University is preferred.
  • 10+ years of HR, or related, leadership experience.
  • SHRM certificate preferred.
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software programs and Paylocity.
  • Possess exemplary conflict resolution skills, problem solving skills, deductive reasoning and leadership skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills using tact, courtesy and cooperativeness.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions.
  • Valid driver license, continually maintaining car insurance, and reliable transportation are required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Less than 10 years of experience may be acceptable with SHRM certificate and the ability to demonstrate required skills.
