If you enjoy working in a hyper-fast-growing company, are eager to be part of an agile team, and want to be part of our success story, then let’s talk! 🎯 Role Overview The Senior Director / Vice President of IT Advisory Practice is responsible for leading a high-performing consulting practice that helps enterprise clients design, build, and run modern IT organizations. This role combines sales and account growth responsibilities with end-to-end delivery leadership for complex IT initiatives across applications, infrastructure, data, and business processes. You will be the primary executive-level advisor to CIO, CHRO/HR, and business leaders, shaping IT strategy and operating models, driving digital transformation, and ensuring measurable business outcomes. You will also build and scale an IT advisory team, developing talent at multiple levels and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree (MBA or MS in Information Systems) preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years of IT advisory consulting and/or enterprise IT leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated track record leading complex IT initiatives within large or mid-size enterprises.
  • Significant experience working directly with CIO and senior IT leadership teams; experience partnering with HR/CHRO organizations strongly preferred.
  • Proven history of sales and business development, including ownership of revenue targets and closing multi-million-dollar engagements.
  • Experience managing and growing a consulting or internal IT team, including performance management and talent development.
  • Experience with Information Technology assessments and implementation of post deal M&A transactions
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% to client locations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading IT advisory work in a consulting, systems integrator, or Big 4 environment.
  • Direct leadership experience within an enterprise IT organization (e.g., Director or above in IT, Applications, Infrastructure, or Enterprise Architecture).
  • Certifications such as ITIL, TOGAF, PMP, SAFe/Agile, Prosci (or equivalent OCM certification), or cloud provider certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience in one or more key industries relevant to the organization’s focus (e.g., data center, manufacturing, technology, healthcare, financial services, or public sector).

Responsibilities

  • Own revenue and growth targets for the IT Advisory Practice, including pipeline, bookings, and profitability.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships within client organizations (CIO, CTO, CDO, CHRO/HR, business unit leadership).
  • Lead opportunity identification, qualification, and pursuit strategies; shape value propositions and solution approaches.
  • Oversee and contribute to proposals, RFP responses, and SOWs, ensuring clarity of scope, approach, and commercial terms.
  • Drive account expansion by identifying follow-on opportunities in IT strategy, operating model, enterprise applications, cloud, infrastructure, data, and change management.
  • Serve as executive sponsor or engagement lead for major client programs and projects.
  • Ensure successful delivery of IT advisory and implementation services on time, on budget, and to agreed quality standards.
  • Oversee multi-workstream programs spanning IT strategy, enterprise architecture, application modernization, infrastructure transformation, and IT service / process optimization.
  • Provide direction and quality oversight for key deliverables such as roadmaps, target operating models, business cases, governance frameworks, and implementation plans.
  • Monitor engagement risks and issues, intervening where necessary to protect outcomes, client relationships, and firm reputation.
  • Define and refine the IT Advisory Practice’s service offerings, methodologies, and go-to-market approach.
  • Identify and incorporate industry best practices for building and running enterprise IT (ITIL/ITSM, COBIT, TOGAF, Agile/DevOps, cloud operating models, etc.).
  • Develop reusable tools, frameworks, and accelerators for IT assessments, strategy development, roadmap creation, and change management.
  • Stay current with technology and industry trends (cloud, SaaS, AI, automation, cybersecurity, data/analytics) and translate them into practical advisory offerings.
  • Collaborate with other practice leaders (e.g., HR, Finance, Operations, Digital) to design cross-functional solutions.
  • Build, lead, and manage a diverse team of IT consultants at various levels (analyst through director).
  • Set clear expectations, provide ongoing coaching and feedback, and support career development plans.
  • Drive recruiting, onboarding, and performance management to support practice growth.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Model consulting best practices in client management, communication, presentation, and problem solving.
  • Own P&L for the IT Advisory Practice or relevant portfolio, including forecasting, utilization, margin, and pricing.
  • Establish and maintain engagement governance standards, delivery quality controls, and risk management practices.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and data protection standards.
  • Contribute to firm-wide strategic planning, annual budgeting, and operational improvement initiatives.
