As the Director of Logistics, you’ll lead and shape the vision for Dynamic’s logistics organization—overseeing transportation operations, vendor partnerships, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and long-term strategic planning. You’ll serve as the leader of a 36-person logistics team, ensuring our transportation network operates efficiently, compliantly, and in alignment with Dynamic’s growth strategy. Your leadership will strengthen the operational backbone that connects our customers, operations teams, and service delivery—while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and service excellence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation operations, or general management with financial responsibility.
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing operational performance within a logistics or transportation environment.
  • Experience managing departmental budgets, cost controls, and P&L performance.
  • Background working with transportation vendors, freight management, and logistics operations.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation and logistics operations.
  • Ability to analyze operational and financial data to guide decisions.
  • Skilled in vendor negotiation, contract oversight, and relationship management.
  • Strong budgeting and financial management capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across operational and executive teams.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Transportation Management, or a related field preferred. Additional relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Experience in warehouse management, recycling, recovery, or ITAD environments.
  • A valid Class D driver’s license and the ability to obtain a CDL.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing logistics team, mentoring leaders and creating a culture aligned with Dynamic’s vision and values.
  • Oversee transportation operations and coordination, ensuring seamless movement of materials between customers, operations, and sales teams.
  • Ensure regulatory and operational compliance, including D.O.T. standards, transportation documentation, freight billing, equipment records, and reporting.
  • Manage strategic vendor partnerships, negotiating favorable rates, maintaining accountability, and identifying opportunities to improve service and reduce cost.
  • Own the logistics department P&L, balancing cost management, revenue growth, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive data-informed decision making, leveraging analytics to optimize transportation strategies, scheduling, and operational performance.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and operational improvement, strengthening logistics capabilities as the business grows.
