About The Position

The Director of Mortgage Originations serves as a strategic leader responsible for driving customer experience excellence, expanding market share, and elevating organizational performance. The role oversees UCM Retail Mortgage Sales leaders to execute priority growth strategies, optimize sales team performance, and strengthen the organization’s overall value proposition. Key leadership responsibilities include shaping and implementing strategic sales objectives, overseeing performance and coaching across regions, leading recruitment and retention of high‑performing sales talent, and expanding new business development to increase revenue while consistently exceeding customer expectations.

Requirements

15+ years of mortgage experience, including proven Sales Leadership.
Deep knowledge of footprint markets and established industry relationships.
Expertise in mortgage channels, including Distributed Retail and Consumer Direct.
Advanced Retail Lending credit and risk management skills.
Strong builder and Realtor relationships within the footprint.
Mastery of sales execution and customer service excellence.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong relationship‑building across clients, prospects, recruits, and internal stakeholders.
Effective collaborator with ability to influence across teams.
Strategic thinker who delivers actionable plans aligned to organizational goals.
Skilled in change management, planning, organization, and managing multiple priorities.
Commitment to completing required compliance and regulatory training.
