Responsibilities The Director of Nursing (DON) organizes and administers areas of clinical and patient care services to attain facility objectives established by hospital administration. Hospital-wide programs, policies and procedures are developed to assess, evaluate and meet the needs of the patient. Develops and implements hospital plans for providing nursing care, treatment, and clinical services to those patients requiring care treatment and services. The DON participates with the management, medical staff and clinical leaders in the facility's decision making structures and processes. The DON implements an effective, ongoing program to measure, assess and improve the quality of nursing care, treatment and services delivered to patients. #LI-SM6 Qualifications Education and Work Experience Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)-(AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. Minimum of 5 years Acute Care experience Minimum of 2 years previous Administrative experience preferred. Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Requirements

  • Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)-(AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum of 5 years Acute Care experience

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years previous Administrative experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
