The Team You’ll Work With: The NYC World Cup team is responsible for ensuring that the 2026 FIFA World Cup matches held in NY/NY take place smoothly and safely, and to identify opportunities for engagement across the five boroughs. The Problems You’ll Solve: We’re seeking a Director to join our team on a temporary basis, March – August 1, 2026 (approximate), to lead the planning and delivery of inclusive, community-based public programming tied to the FIFA World Cup. This role will focus on creating accessible neighborhood experiences that engage residents, businesses, and visitors across the city. The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in event planning, tourism, or community programming and a strong commitment to public service. The Director of NYC World Cup Activations will report to the NYC World Cup Czar and work closely with other members of the team, including the Executive Director for World Cup Operations. This role will conclude in August 2026.
