Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in Division I football recruiting, operations, or executive-level administrative support.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex logistics, large‑scale events, or high‑profile engagements.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within a Division I FBS athletic department.
  • Knowledge of NCAA Division I recruiting rules.
  • Experience supervising students, interns, or staff.
  • Proficiency with recruiting databases and software (e.g., ARMS, HUDL, XOS).

Responsibilities

  • Manages the Head Football Coach’s calendar, communication pipeline, and high‑priority engagements requiring confidentiality and coordination across Athletics and campus.
  • Oversees complex travel arrangements, speaking engagements, donor appearances, staff meetings, and special projects on behalf of the Head Coach.
  • Drafts reports, presentations, briefings, and sensitive correspondence to support program decision-making.
  • Serves as the central administrative liaison between the Head Coach and Athletics leadership, University officials, student-athletes, and external stakeholders.
  • Leads the planning, execution, and evaluation of all official and unofficial visits, Junior Days, gameday recruiting operations, and individualized recruiting events.
  • Oversees logistics including transportation, accommodations, meals, facility access, academic presentations, and tailored prospect itineraries.
  • Serves as the primary recruiting host, ensuring VIP‑level engagement for prospects, families, and coaches.
  • Coordinates with creative, communications, and marketing units to incorporate program branding into visit materials and experiences.
  • Ensures all recruiting activities comply with NCAA, conference, and institutional rules, serving as the football program’s subject‑matter expert for on‑campus recruiting compliance.
  • Manages all required records, visit reports, student‑athlete hosts, and recruiting communication logs.
  • Collaborates with Compliance, Admissions, Academics, and Housing to verify eligibility, academic status, and enrollment steps.
  • Supervises and schedules recruiting interns, student ambassadors, and gameday recruiting assistants.
  • Oversees training in visit protocol, professionalism, communication standards, and operational expectations.
  • Delegates tasks across logistics, setup, communication tracking, and guest services to ensure efficient workflows.
  • Assists with football program events including banquets, camps, team gatherings, donor engagement events, and community-facing initiatives.
  • Supports operational planning for special projects and program decisions requiring cross‑unit coordination.
