About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Paid Media to join our team. In this role, you will be a subject-matter expert, responsible for shaping business strategy, optimizing processes, and enhancing the user experience. You will lead our Paid Media team, driving the development and launch of campaigns across Performance Marketing websites, continuously improving performance, collaborating with cross-functional marketing teams, and fostering the growth of our versatile paid media professionals. Clearlink stands out by catering to a diverse range of clients, including top-tier internet providers, major cellular/wireless carriers, safety and home security companies, insurance providers, and more. What sets us apart is our focus on closed deals, going beyond lead optimization. Our in-house team manages the entire optimization process, ensuring targeted precision and avoiding guesswork. Through our strategic media buying efforts, we drive valuable traffic that results in successful product sales for our clients. As the Director of Paid Media, you will play a pivotal role in setting the strategic direction, implementing initiatives, providing training, supervising execution, and driving the adoption of paid media practices. Reporting directly to the SVP of Agency, you will have oversight of a substantial $10,000,000 ad-spend budget, leading a team of 5+ PPC specialists, and closely collaborating with design, copy, development, CRO, and partner relations teams. This position offers high visibility, including opportunities to present to the executive team and clients. Clearlink is a remote-friendly company, prioritizing virtual and in-person collaboration. This is a remote-first role for candidates who are located outside of Utah and outside of commuting distance. For candidates residing within 50 miles of our Draper, Utah office, a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days in-office is required.

Requirements

  • 6-8+ years of experience managing PPC performance teams
  • 5+ years of experience in Paid Media
  • Proven success managing large paid media budgets in competitive industries
  • Experience operating direct response, acquisition-focused campaigns
  • A deep understanding of analytics and data-driven decision making
  • Outstanding cross-functional and external communication skills
  • Strong grasp of how the paid search auction reacts to competition
  • Deep knowledge of the Google Marketing tech stack
  • Collaborative work style

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a successful team of PPC specialists, fostering a culture of performance measurement and accountability
  • Enhance landing page experience, measure results, and drive continuous testing to optimize paid media operations
  • Collaborate across the business to drive revenue growth, capture opportunities, and achieve brand-specific profit and volume targets
  • Test and implement new Betas on Google, Bing, and other platforms
  • Improve Paid Media reporting for accuracy with real-time data that is focused on visualization and the ability to make quick data-driven decisions
  • Deliver comprehensive training programs to enhance team skills and streamline processes for efficiency and optimization opportunities
  • Apply our team matrix structure for effective collaboration, resource allocation, and successful outcomes
  • Take ownership of technology, reporting, and automation, ensuring data integrity and driving success within accounts
  • Provide hands-on leadership and guidance, actively working within accounts to drive desired outcomes
