Director of Product Management — Experiences & Platform

FlowSan Francisco, CA
7d$240,000 - $300,000Hybrid

About The Position

At Flow, we’re reimagining what it means to live, work, and connect. More than just a real estate company, Flow is a brand, a technology platform, and an operations ecosystem spanning condominiums, hotels, multifamily residences, and office spaces. We’re building a new kind of living experience: one that’s flexible, connected, and designed to create genuine community and real value for the people who call Flow home. Our mission is oneness: prioritizing our residents and their experiences, and fostering connection with ourselves, their neighbors, and the natural world. By putting people at the center of everything we do, we’re creating vibrant, human-centered communities where life, work, creativity, and play all come together in one place. About the Role We are building the intelligent operating system for real estate — unifying leasing, maintenance, accounting, and hospitality into one seamless and adaptive experience. Our goal is to make every interaction — whether by a resident, staff member, or operator — feel personalized, effortless, and responsive. This is a hybrid role — one part customer experience champion, one part platform strategist. You’ll drive how complex workflows (like accounting or leasing) become intuitive, intelligent flows — and ensure our product surfaces are warm, powerful, and composable. Finally, we believe employees are better together. Every position at Flow has an onsite or in-office requirement.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in a technical field
  • 10+ years of product management experience, including ownership of both backend platform systems and user-facing experiences
  • Strong systems intuition — you understand how clean primitives and structured events translate into elegant interfaces
  • Proven success driving execution across multiple product teams or domains simultaneously
  • Deep empathy for users across varied roles (from accountants to community staff to residents)
  • Comfort working in ambiguous or rapidly evolving environments — and turning that into clarity for others
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator, particularly in detailed PRDs for engineering audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience modernizing or replacing legacy systems (e.g., ERP, real estate tech, financial tooling)
  • Background in vertical SaaS or complex, multi-surface products
  • Familiarity with accounting, property management, or operational workflows
  • Comfort working with AI/ML teams to design intelligent, contextual product behaviors

Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Experience Ownership — across operator workflows (e.g., financials, operations) and resident interactions (e.g., onboarding, services)
  • Product Vision & UX Quality — shape a coherent, high-quality experience across tools and personas, rooted in user empathy and sharp system thinking
  • Design + Engineering Partnership — collaborate tightly with designers to craft human-centered flows and with engineers to ensure those flows are backed by durable architecture
  • Platform Reuse — ensure data models (people, places, services), agreements, and event streams are consistently leveraged across product surfaces
  • AI-Driven Automation — identify workflows where intelligent assistants or agents can reduce manual work and help users shift from “doing” to “reviewing"
  • Vertical Extensibility — help build for today’s residential needs in a way that scales to hospitality, commercial, and new formats without rework
