Director of Product

Bioscope AICarmel, IN
3dHybrid

About The Position

As Bioscope’s Director of Product, you help take our founder’s vision and turn it into reality—serving as the ultimate translator and the core advocate for our users. You will serve as the strategic connective tissue between our engineering team, our clinical scientists, and the medical practices we serve. You’ll own the product strategy end-to-end. This is a leadership role for a seasoned builder who understands that the best product managers fall in love with the problem, not the solution. You will master the "what" and the "why," empowering our world-class engineering team to deliver the "how."

Requirements

  • Relevant Experience: 8–12+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of product leadership. You’ve built and shipped deeply technical, mission-critical SaaS products in highly regulated industries (healthcare, life sciences, fintech, cyber, or similar).
  • Strategic Humility: You know exactly what you don't know. Instead of assuming the answers, you proactively pull in Subject Matter Experts (clinicians, data scientists, architects) to pressure-test assumptions and validate direction.
  • Problem-First Mindset: You resist the urge to jump straight to the solution. You excel at defining the guardrails, requirements, and user narratives, explicitly leaving the "how" up to engineering.
  • The Ultimate Communicator: You can write a crisp strategic vision, debate product trade-offs with engineers, and present a compelling roadmap to a clinical or board-level audience—all in the same day.
  • AI & Interoperability Fluency: While you don't need to read every API doc yourself, you understand system architecture, data pipelines, standard data exchange formats (like FHIR/HL7), and the lifecycle of AI/ML models well enough to steer the ship confidently.

Nice To Haves

  • A background or strong interest in genomics, precision medicine, or multi-omic data products.
  • Experience navigating longevity, functional, or concierge medicine workflows.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, GINA, and clinical data compliance.
  • Prior experience in a 0→1 product leadership role or on a founding team.

Responsibilities

  • Own the "What and Why": You will deeply define the problem space and the business value of what we are building. You'll avoid the trap of early solutioning, instead providing engineering with crystal-clear use cases, user needs, and success metrics so they can innovate on the execution.
  • Advocate for the Practitioner: You will deeply understand the workflows and pain points of concierge and functional medicine doctors. You’ll translate their needs into high-value clinical engagement tools and patient reports, ensuring the voice of the customer is always driving the roadmap.
  • Partner with Experts: You will collaborate closely with engineering, data science, and clinical science to establish model evaluation standards and ensure our AI features are clinically meaningful. You know how to leverage your team's expertise to evaluate trade-offs and technical feasibility.
  • Bridge the Ecosystem: You’ll lead our EHR/EMR integration strategy (Elation, Cerbo, Athena) and external partnership strategy, focusing on seamless interoperability and driving business value.
  • Build the Foundation: As a founding leader, you will establish our product development rhythms, build a culture of continuous discovery, articulate our vision to partners, and eventually build out the product organization as we scale.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience.
  • Meaningful early-stage equity—you are a true owner.
  • Direct access to leadership and a seat at the founding team table.
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits.
  • A flexible, hybrid work environment.
