About The Position

The Director of Real Estate Investments will play a key leadership role in evaluating, structuring, and executing real estate investment and development opportunities across Harwood International’s portfolio. This individual will lead financial analysis, underwriting, and due diligence efforts while supporting strategic investment decisions and managing transactions from initial evaluation through closing. The Director will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams across development, leasing, finance, and operations to ensure successful execution of projects and long-term portfolio performance.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of experience in commercial real estate investments, acquisitions, development, asset management, or investment banking.
  • Demonstrated experience underwriting and executing complex real estate transactions.
  • Strong experience building financial models and analyzing development and acquisition opportunities.
  • Familiarity with real estate legal documents including PSAs, loan agreements, leases, and partnership agreements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business required

Responsibilities

  • Lead the underwriting and financial analysis of potential development, acquisition, and disposition opportunities across multiple asset classes including office, multifamily, hospitality, retail, and mixed-use.
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models including development pro formas, cash flow analyses, sensitivity analyses, and waterfall structures.
  • Evaluate investment risks and returns and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Manage the execution of real estate transactions from initial underwriting through closing.
  • Coordinate due diligence efforts including market research, financial analysis, and review of third-party reports.
  • Prepare investment memorandums, presentations, and supporting materials for internal decision-making.
  • Assist in structuring debt and equity financing for development and acquisition projects.
  • Support negotiations with lenders, investors, brokers, and external partners.
  • Analyze and model loan structures, partnership agreements, and investment scenarios.
  • Work closely with development, asset management, and property management teams to evaluate asset performance and identify opportunities to enhance value.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify new investment opportunities and emerging trends.
  • Maintain relationships within the real estate investment and brokerage communities to support sourcing and market intelligence.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment between investment strategy and project execution.
