Essential Functions (Responsibilities): • Develop and propose an integrated strategy and plan for resilience and belonging, complete with metrics, that aligns with the university’s mission and goals. • Review and recommend policies and practices that respond to the needs and cultural dynamics of the university community. • Develop and implement programs to educate students about identity development, cultural humility, interfaith understanding, and community connection. • Amplify the work of identity-based student organizations through mentoring and advocacy. • Coordinate belonging survey and tracking to ensure all students find their community. • Develop and manage budgets, strategic reports, and grant proposals to support program growth and innovation. • Serve as content expert on the salient identities, supervise student staff, manage day-to-day operations, and advance student-led programming. • Collaborate with various campus partners and stakeholders to fulfill UTulsa's mission through educational, social, and cultural programming that centers on and affirms the diverse communities we serve. • Works with staff to collect and assess program data, sharing annual reports that celebrate impact and inform ongoing development and areas for growth. • Assist in the planning, implementation, and assessment of Cultural Heritage months and other signature programs. • Develops, manages, and evaluates Office for Resilience and Belonging’s social media presence in collaboration with student staff, ensuring engaging, strategic, and mission-aligned content. • Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Knowledge/Skill/Ability • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. • Deep understanding of the concepts, practices, and policies related to student development and belonging, with demonstrative incorporation of concepts in a university setting. • Demonstrated commitment to a student-centered approach in practice, especially with building relationships with underrepresented students. • Proven ability to connect with students, with a focus on empowering and fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment. • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and work collaboratively. • Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills. • Experience with content management on multiple media and platforms, i.e., poster design, social media account management, website editing, email marketing programs, etc. • Content expertise in contemporary challenges and issues of historically and presently marginalized students. • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the university’s mission and goals. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to a diverse audience. • Ability to identify and address challenges related to cultural conflict. • Familiarity with federal, state, and local laws related to higher education. Equivalent Education/Experience • Master's Degree in Student Affairs/Personnel, Higher Education, Social Justice Education, or an adjacent degree in critical area studies and/or related fields is required. • Must have 5+ years of leadership experience in a related field. • Experience in a higher education setting strongly preferred. • Experience in creating and implementing programs, including large-scale programs.
