About The Position
Mid South Rehab Services Inc., Ridgeland, Mississippi, is hiring a Director of Revenue Cycle Management to join our Finance TEAM. The position is full-time, in office. The position will be responsible for leading the billing, collecting functions, and optimizing the revenue cycle of the Company. The emphasis will be on the timely and efficient ability to capture, manage, and deliver collection of patient, government, and commercial insurance revenue. This position is responsible for the business analysis function related to the revenue cycle including the development and evaluation of business metrics and performance reports. The position reports to the Vice President of Finance. The Director of Revenue Cycle Management manages relationships with payers to assist in the negotiation of contracts, reimbursement rates, and denial reviews. This position is responsible for strategic planning within the revenue function, daily execution of deliverables and for oversight of collections, as well as effectively leading the revenue function. This position requires a strong knowledge of the rehabilitation industry. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, hospital administration, public health or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of experience with progressive responsibilities in the healthcare industry
- Proven ability to collect the money from Health Plans
- Expertise in revenue cycle management gained from experience in one or more of the following settings: health care consulting firm, management role in provider setting, management position in firm that provides accounts receivable or other revenue cycle services
- Must have exceptional leadership abilities and able to turn concepts into process improvements
- Must have outstanding communication skills and the ability to quickly build effective relationships
- Must have provider organization experience and fully understand the revenue cycle of billing
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Must possess excellent organizational, time management, problem solving, analytical skills and leadership abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
Responsibilities
- Responsible for oversight of provider credentialing process
- Responsible for oversight of patient access and initial intake
- Responsible for oversight of insurance verifications
- Responsible for oversight of charge capture
- Responsible for leading the billing and collection functions
- Responsible for management and oversight of revenue cycle vendor relationships
- Works closely with our third-party billing group
