The Director of Strategic Information & Engagement is a senior, execution-focused leader within the Chief Academic Officer (CAO)/Dean’s Office at Advocate Health and Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Reporting to the Vice Dean for Strategic Initiatives and Chief of Staff, this role is responsible for bringing structure, clarity, and discipline to how information, messaging, and institutional priorities are developed, coordinated, and delivered in support of the academic mission. The Director operates laterally across the School of Medicine and enterprise partners to ensure alignment, accountability, and timely execution of leadership communications, institutional updates, strategic initiatives, and high-visibility events. While not a traditional communications role, the position plays a critical integrative function—connecting strategy to execution and ensuring that information flow supports organizational priorities, decision-making, and enterprise cohesion. This role requires exceptional judgment, executive-level writing capability, and the ability to influence, coordinate, and deliver in a complex, highly matrixed environment.
