The Director of Transportation is responsible for directing and managing the district’s transportation operations. Ensure safe and efficient operation of the transportation department. Oversee maintenance of all district-owned vehicles. Responsible for the overall routing and scheduling of all pupil transportation needs and oversees the automated routing and scheduling system. Works with pupils, parents, school administrators, and the public to address and resolve transportation-related problems. Manages budget for transportation services, fuel purchases, and auxiliary transportation services. Manages the provision of services for compliance with NCLB, ADA 504, McKinney-Vento, Special Education, and Field trip services. Prepare, write, and submit the annual Route Service Report and Operation Reports to TEA.
