About The Position

The Director of Youth Programming is responsible for leading, developing, and overseeing all youth-focused programming at Ridglea Country Club. This position serves as the primary point of contact for youth activities and family engagement within the Club, ensuring Ridglea’s youngest members are provided safe, enriching, and engaging experiences. The Director oversees the daily operations of the Kids Klub, ensuring compliance with Child Care Licensing standards while maintaining a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for children. This role is also responsible for the development and execution of youth camps, children’s programming, and family-focused activities that support Ridglea’s identity as a premier family-friendly club. This position requires a highly visible, member-facing leader who actively builds relationships with families and continually develops creative programming that enhances the Club’s youth and family offerings.

Requirements

  • Current Child Care Director certification in accordance with state licensing requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Recreation Management, Education, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 4–7 years of experience in childcare, youth programming, or youth recreation leadership.
  • Experience supervising staff and managing childcare or youth programs.
  • CPR/AED certification required.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with both children and adults.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with families and members.
  • Creativity and enthusiasm in developing youth programming and activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and communication/publishing software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high levels of organization and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays when programming requires.
  • Must demonstrate professionalism and a positive, service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively with other Club departments to support family programming and events.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operation of the Kids Klub while maintaining a safe, healthy, and structured environment for children.
  • Ensure the Kids Klub operates in accordance with all state childcare licensing standards and minimum regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain staffing levels that meet or exceed Child Care Licensing requirements.
  • Supervise childcare staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating performance.
  • Develop and implement daily schedules and activities that support safe, engaging, and age-appropriate programming.
  • Ensure proper documentation, safety protocols, and childcare policies are consistently followed.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive youth programming strategy that supports the Club’s family-focused culture.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Club and member families regarding youth programming opportunities and services.
  • Actively engage with members and their children to understand needs and ensure the Club is meeting the expectations of families.
  • Continuously develop new programming ideas, activities, and events to enhance youth engagement at the Club.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee all Ridglea youth camps (excluding specific Golf or Racquets Sports Junior programming) including summer, winter, and spring camps.
  • Develop camp themes, activities, and schedules that encourage creativity, social interaction, and child development.
  • Manage all camp operations including staffing, scheduling, registration, and communication with families.
  • Ensure camps provide a safe, engaging, and memorable experience for participants.
  • Coordinate youth activities associated with Club family events including but not limited to Breakfast with Santa and Holiday Champagne Brunch, Spring Festival & Easter Egg Hunt, Fall Festival, and other family-focused programs.
  • Develop year-round youth programming including classes, workshops, and activities such as arts, crafts, cooking, fitness, and educational programming.
  • Plan and implement weekly, monthly, and seasonal youth events designed to encourage family participation at the Club.
  • Maintain positive relationships with members and families through regular interaction and communication.
  • Promote youth programs through Club communication channels including newsletters, flyers, digital communications, and event promotions.
  • Serve as a visible presence at youth programs and family events to enhance member engagement and experience.
  • Develop and manage the annual budget for Kids Klub operations and Youth Camps.
  • Monitor program revenue and expenses to ensure programs operate within approved budget parameters.
  • Coordinate registration and billing for youth programs, camps, and activities.
  • Work with Food & Beverage Management to create or support family focused Club Events.
  • Prepare administrative reports and maintain accurate records of participation, program performance, and financial data.
  • Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise youth programming staff and childcare team members.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure staff meet safety, service, and childcare standards.
  • Ensure staff maintain required certifications and licensing standards.
  • Ensure the Kids Klub and all youth programming operate in full compliance with federal, state, and local childcare regulations.
  • Maintain CPR/AED and safety certifications for appropriate staff.
  • Maintain a safe, secure environment for children participating in programs and events.
