About The Position

Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a 174-bed, private psychiatric center located in beautiful, sunny Orlando, FL. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services. Click Here for a Virtual Hospital Tour Position Summary The Director of Performance Improvement plans, coordinates, directs and carries out activities related to the facility-wide performance and quality improvement program and processes. Ensures that the facility is in compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS, AHCA, OSHA and other regulatory agencies standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing or a mental health related field from an accredited college or university required.
  • Five (5) years clinical experience in a psychiatric inpatient facility with knowledge of Performance Improvement/Quality Management required. Two (2) years experience in clinical and administrative supervision required.
  • Current licensure by the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Therapist required.
  • A strong knowledge of The Joint Commission. CMS, AHCA, OSHA standards and any other applicable federal and start laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to maintain effective working relationships, inter-departmentally, intra-departmentally, and with the medical staff.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Degree preferred.
  • Cerner experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the activities directly related to the identification, evaluation and analysis of the performance and quality improvement activities for the facility.
  • Documents and communicates key performance and quality improvement areas for the facility.
  • Analyzes, creates and maintains quality data systems.
  • Recommends ways to improve performance and clinical outcomes based on the data.
  • Gathers performance and quality improvement data from internal or external resources.
