About The Position

UTA Entertainment & Culture Marketing, the division of the agency that works with corporate clients on a range of entertainment and cultural marketing initiatives, seeks a Product Placement Manager to join the team. The division is known for representing global brands including Google, General Motors, Lyft, LinkedIn among others, in the entertainment space, and leveraging UTA’s global intelligence, expertise and relationships to develop initiatives to help brands stand out, be relevant and grow. In this role, you will be a master project manager supporting both your internal team and the external client. Known for creating game changing opportunities for our clients, we are a group of people who work hard as a team to continue building our reputation as visionaries in the industry. This position spans a broad scope of the group's activities and lends ample opportunity to fully immerse and learn about celebrity procurement/management, film/tv integrations and entertainment activations. The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $150,000 commensurate with experience and skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or related field strongly preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in a marketing role related to product placement preferred
  • Prior experience working in entertainment and/or media industry with extensive knowledge of current and relevant markets required
  • A strong team player and self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Superior communication and presentation skills
  • High degree of motivation, and ability to demonstrate creative thinking.
  • Impeccable organizational and time management skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to navigate an organization and operate in an incredibly fast paced, multifaceted, demanding environment.
  • Must be able to be discreet and keep confidential information private
  • Ability to assist with marketing presentations
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook) a must

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Film/TV industry contacts to generate a high volume of product placement opportunities for leading brands. Industry contacts include, but are not limited to, Producers, Writers, Directors, Property Masters, Set Decorators, and Network/Studio Executives. Existing relationships in this space are required
  • Proactively identify and pursue upcoming Film/TV productions, pitching client objectives and creating opportunities where they might not currently exist. Execute placements primarily from a paid perspective, supporting unpaid placements secondary
  • Review Film/TV scripts for client consideration. Be able to pitch those projects to clients in a succinct manner, as well as share with the larger marketing department
  • Lead client communications and relationship management for your designated accounts, ensuring alignment on placement strategy and execution
  • Develop and share new product placement opportunities through detailed-write ups and recurring client meetings
  • Maintain client project trackers, scan released TV/film properties for placements and provide recap reports of confirmed placements (including viewership metrics) in partnership with UTA’s internal IQ team
  • Contribute to new business outreach and materials development, continually educate internal colleagues on product placement trends, and provide general thought leadership in this space
  • Canvass industry resources such as Production Weekly, trades, UTA’s internal projects database, etc. for new content opportunities
  • Generate contracts for all product placement efforts and manage the negotiation between both sides until an agreement is reached. Knowledge of deal structure for paid placements a requirement
  • Provide POV and thought leadership on all paid integration opportunities and best process for deal flow
  • Attend integration shoots when permitted
