Job Summary Sets up and operates automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation | Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications | Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment | Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures Impact of the Role General Profile Provides leadership to managers and may also have professional staff. Must have at least one manager level direct report Is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related teams Develops departmental plans, including business, production and/or organizational priorities Decisions are guided by resource availability and organizational objectives Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment Essential Functions Oversees and directs operations of all production areas to ensure that volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are achieved. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop overall production schedules, materials, and resource requirements to meet short and long-term production goals. Coordinates the flow of work through the department and ensures that department has sufficient levels of inventory to meet demand and is staffed appropriately. Monitors shift production metrics to identify and resolve issues and develop process improvements and best practices. Plans maintenance, turnarounds, and downtime for efficiency and speed. Establishes staff training processes, equipment, gear, and tool requirements to comply with health and safety regulations. Leads and directs the work of other managers and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & General Managers.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree and 8-10 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
