About The Position

The position is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the selection, deployment, upgrade, and/or support of property-based technologies including but not limited to: Building Amenities, Building Management Systems (BMS), Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and Physical Security.  The position drives or influences overall strategies and standards for property-based technologies and participates in ongoing market research and the sourcing of solution providers and partners. The position coordinates work across multiple disciplines including Development, Construction, Property Management, Marketing and Information Technology (IT) teams and represents BXP in engagements with its clients/tenants. The role bridges IT and Operational Technology (OT) to ensure an alignment to application, network and security standards and actively monitors market trends to ensure the continued positioning of BXP investments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Strong knowledge of building technologies and vendor landscape with 5+ years of progressive experience in managing and executing deployments.
  • Strong knowledge of OT network and security standards including deployment of cloud-based facility solutions.
  • Possess solid project management skills with a demonstrated ability to oversee solution selection processes, coordinate the requirements of multiple stakeholders, manage multiple projects, and collaborate across multiple disciplines including both internal and external parties on technology deployments.
  • Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with employees and contractors.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business and business processes; knowledge of real estate business practices, engineering and property management preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; an ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
  • Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.
  • Be able to travel and to work flexible schedules outside normal business hours when required.

  • knowledge of real estate business practices, engineering and property management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the specification, design, implementation and/or support of property-based solutions; actively participate in platform technology design reviews.
  • Manage and/or facilitate the work of outside consultants, integrators and solution providers in the selection and implementation of solutions and services; identify new solution providers and partners.
  • Coordinate the engagement of IT disciplines in the timely execution of projects and services.
  • Coordinate the deployment of facility-based technologies with clients/tenants in partnership with Property Management and other BXP departments.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers.
  • Negotiate competitive contracts and service level agreements (SLA) to ensure legal, compliance and performance standards.
  • Participate in the assessment, selection and procurement of software and hardware solutions; lead and conduct evaluations for alignment to business requirements, security standards, and scalability needs.
  • Oversee pilots, tests and/or deployments of new solutions and applications.
  • Recommend upgrades or replacements based on lifecycle and business needs.
  • Educate BXP teams on the use cases and deployment of property technologies.
  • Partner with the Application Development and Data Services team to develop, enhance and/or maintain building-based data sets; ensure data collection and integration with analytic platforms.
  • Partner with the Property Management and Marketing teams in defining measurable building-based metrics.
  • Establish standards in the configuration of property-based solutions and services across multiple regional teams.
  • Operationalize support and maintenance agreements working with BXP disciplines and external partners.
  • Lead or participate in quarterly business reviews with key partners.
  • Monitor the health of systems and coordinate the response to outages and disruptions as needed.
  • Special projects as assigned.
