About The Position

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Director of Compliance and contribute significantly to global compliance programs. As a leader in our organization, you'll develop and implement strategic compliance initiatives while ensuring adherence to international regulations and corporate policies. This position provides an opportunity to guide compliance efforts across multiple regions, working with teams to protect and enhance our company's integrity in global markets. In this role, you'll develop and execute compliance strategies, lead risk assessments, and implement robust monitoring programs. You'll collaborate with regional and global teams to drive continuous improvement in compliance processes, provide strategic guidance on complex regulatory matters, and support a culture of ethical business practices. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working with advanced life sciences and pharmaceutical technologies.

Requirements

  • Advanced Degree plus 6 years of demonstrated compliance experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of demonstrated compliance experience, preferably in life sciences, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing industries
  • Qualified Person nomination by regulatory authorities (where applicable)
  • Experience building and leading global compliance programs
  • Expert knowledge of global anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws and regulations
  • Strong background in trade compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Multilingual proficiency (English required, additional languages based on region)
  • Experience leading regulatory inspections and managing audit programs
  • Experience building and mentoring teams
  • Strategic thinking and excellent problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong project management and budget oversight skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
  • Experience working in matrix organizations
  • Ability to influence through collaboration
  • Strong risk assessment and mitigation skills
  • Proficiency in compliance management systems and tools
  • Travel approximately 10% of the time
  • Change management and stakeholder engagement expertise
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong business acumen
