About The Position

Directs the activities of a software systems development function, software applications development function and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Scope: Lead strategies globally Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area or a major product group within a Business Unit. Recognized as an influential leader within a function or Business Unit or Company. Detailed knowledge of company allows for innovative concepts and promoting new ideas. Manages teams located in more than one site within a region or globally. Develops corporate and/or organizational policies and authorizes their implementation. Makes decisions on administrative or operational matters including staff and budgets. Direct control over spend budget Impact on P&L activities. Job Complexity: Works on complex issues where analysis of situations across functional areas, or data requires an in-depth knowledge of Broadcom. Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people, providing strategy and direction for major functional areas. Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements. Discretion: Erroneous decisions will have a serious impact on the overall success of functional or organizational operations (may potentially impact Broadcom's success). Reporting Relationship: Typically reports to a Vice President.

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 years of overall experience of which a minimum of 6 years is in management.
