FactSet seeks a results-driven Director, Sales to lead our Real-Time Exchange Datafeed and Tick History sales specialist team across the Americas. In this dynamic player/coach role, you will drive strategic sales engagements while managing and developing a high-performing team of 4–5 sales specialists. You will play a critical role in shaping regional strategy, overseeing sales campaigns and programs, optimizing workforce productivity, and deepening senior-level client relationships across Investment Managers, Hedge Funds, Investment Banks, and Wealth Management organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 10–12 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development within the financial services technology sector, including experience managing/directing teams.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and deploying new projects/strategies.
  • Superior written, oral, and executive-level communication skills; able to engage across a diverse array of teams, clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with demonstrated skill breaking down complex business challenges.
  • Ability to teach, mentor, and build strong sales teams, driving motivation, collaboration, and retention of top talent.
  • Proven track record of achieving/exceeding multimillion-dollar sales targets and building high-performing, positive team cultures.
  • Exceptional organizational and context-switching ability to effectively handle multiple projects with different agendas simultaneously.
  • Expertise in Salesforce (or comparable CRM systems), data-driven sales oversight, and pipeline management.

  • Prior experience with FactSet solutions or comparable market data platforms.
  • Success in scaling and coaching enterprise sales teams in dynamic, matrixed environments.
  • MBA or advanced degree.

Responsibilities

  • Player/Coach Leadership: Lead by example—personally engaging in high-priority deals and client relationships, while coaching and managing your team to exceed ambitious targets.
  • Team Management & Engagement: Recruit, coach, and develop direct reports; ensure the workforce is engaged, productive, and aligned with organizational goals. Build leadership skills within your group to ensure operational effectiveness and organizational growth.
  • Partner with Generalist Sales and Data Solutions Sales Specialists: Work with various generalist account leaders and data solution specialists to develop sales campaigns, account strategies, and overall sales execution against goals.
  • Program & Project Oversight: Oversee programs and projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation, execution of program goals, and alignment with overall business priorities. Meet with Program leads to review strategy and goals.
  • Strategic Alignment & Communication: Participate in regular meetings with cross-functional stakeholders and senior management to ensure alignment of priorities, clear understanding of objectives, and employee understanding and engagement.
  • Problem Solving & Development Agenda: Address complex, higher-level challenges and work with teams on solution design and development effectiveness within your management scope.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Content, Tech, Sales Enablement, Pre-Sales (Sales Engineering), Solutions Design, Implementation, and Post-Implementation teams to ensure seamless delivery of innovative, client-centered solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement & Reporting: Champion best practices in sales methodology, process improvement, and pipeline management. Provide KPIs and pipeline activity reports to leadership.
  • Client Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with C-level and senior decision makers, positioning FactSet as a trusted partner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
