This position is responsible for all Security and Safety programs across all Redeemer Health (RH) locations. Responsible for the overall development and implementation of all security policies, procedures and guidelines including, but not limited to, the assessment, planning, preparation, scheduling, training, evaluation, implementing remediation steps and maintaining all required records related to Security Management. Directs the Security and Safety program, Environment of Care (EOC) compliance in the area of Security, Safety and Emergency Management Chapters. Oversees the management of contracts for parking, valet and greeter programs at all Redeemer Health Sites. Serves as HRHS designated Law Enforcement Liaison, Chairperson of the Security Management Work Group, and represents HRHS in all external Security or Law Enforcement activities. Ensures HRHS full compliance with all federal, state, local and accreditation standards relating to Security management. In addition to the Security responsibilities, this leads the overall development and implementation of all emergency preparedness functions throughout RH including; policies, procedures and guidelines, to include, but not limited to, the assessment, planning, preparation, scheduling, training, testing of readiness, drills, evaluating performance, implementing remediation steps and maintaining all required records pertaining to emergency management. Serves as RH designated Incident Commander as required, Chairperson of the Emergency Preparedness Subcommittee and represents RH in all external emergency management activities. Ensures RH full compliance with all federal, state, local and accreditation standards relating to emergency management. Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice or related field (preferred) with at least 5-7 years of healthcare (preferred) security supervisory or management experience.
  • Some level of Emergency Management preparedness leadership in healthcare or; at least Demonstrated knowledge and successful experience, obtained from a combination of formal education and work/life experience in Emergency Planning and Disaster Management to include, but not limited to: Severe Weather Events, Active Shooter, Pandemics, Abductions, Elopements, and Radiation and Hazard Materials Emergencies and other events normal to Healthcare, Homecare and Lifecare settings.
  • Skills: Excellent written, oral and organizational skills; strong leadership and consensus building skills; operational problem solving and decision making experience; calm under pressure.
  • Computer proficiency required, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work with equipment necessary for emergency operations, radios, generators, decon tents, access control systems, visitor management systems, surveillance cameras and alarm/panic systems.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Certification in NIMS 100, 200, 700 & 800
  • Pa State Act 235
  • HSEEP
  • Deescelation Certification
  • Hazmat Awareness and Operations level
  • CBRNE Awareness and Operations Training
  • If not present, certification of successful completion must be secured within six (6) months of employment.
