The Director of Client Relationship Management is responsible for overseeing and enhancing client relationships within the retirement services sector. This individual will oversee a team of Client Relationship Managers and report directly into the Regional Vice President. This role requires a deep understanding of retirement products, exceptional client service skills, and the ability to lead a team to deliver high-quality solutions to clients.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of work experience in group retirement plan industry as a Client Relationship Manager
  • Knowledge and understanding of corporate/group retirement plans 403(b), 401(k) and 457.
  • Knowledge of retirement plan design, investment monitoring, plan administration, compliance testing and enhanced understanding of retirement plan rules & regulations.
  • Excellent business writing, presentation, and public speaking skills
  • Ability to handle pressure, prioritize, and multitask during a business day
  • Active FINRA Series 6, 63 and SIE or must be obtained within the first year of employment
  • Active State Life and Health Insurance License (in all states covered) required or obtained within first year of employment
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of client relationship managers and support staff to improve client engagement and service delivery.
  • Foster a collaborative culture that emphasizes client satisfaction and teamwork.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategic plans for client engagement and retention.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional retirement services to existing clients.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about trends and developments in the retirement services industry to provide insights that enhance client offerings.
  • Conduct regular assessments of client satisfaction and feedback to inform continuous improvement efforts.
  • Training and Development: Organize training sessions for staff on retirement products, client management techniques, and industry best practices.
  • Promote professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all client interactions and service delivery processes comply with industry regulations and standards.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with client engagement.
