The Director of Service Line Strategy is responsible for the development and execution of Service Line(s) strategic plans, growth initiatives, market intelligence, and market planning in partnership with other members of the Service Line(s) Leadership team. The role assists in facilitating the development of strategies and tactics across the Service Line(s) continuums of care for all care assets impacting the Service Line(s). This role must have expertise in financial management, business operations, Service Line strategy, management of direct reports, and demonstrated experience in a leadership role within a Service Line(s) setting. The Director of Service Line Strategy will work in close partnership with the Service Line Management Office to execute and uphold Service Line relationships with key administrative functions such as finance, business intelligence, decision support, quality, etc. This role is responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital. Essential Functions: Responsible for the strategic leadership of Institute(s) and Service Line(s) as assigned. Establishes and executes comprehensive Service Line(s) specific strategic initiatives and programs to support the Service Line(s) strategy and vision across the FHSC System. Responsible for collaborating across the FHSC System to ensure that strategic initiatives and goals are aligned with the organizational action plan (OAP) and strategic goals. Translates vision into tactical execution of Service Line strategy across the FHSC System. Thinks innovatively and strategically about differentiators and critical needs for strategic programming across the FHSC System Provides strategic leadership for Service Line programs internally, as well as with providers, partners, community organizations, and applicable legislature bodies. Assists in facilitating strategic initiatives across Service Lines continuums of care including, but not limited to, the outpatient setting, ambulatory setting, inpatient setting, clinical trials and research. Builds and fosters collaborative relationships with other departments/service-lines across the FHSC System to stay informed and abreast of new initiatives, products, and services; identifies opportunities to support FHSC System initiatives, quality, efficiency, effectiveness and world class service. Partners with FHSC System Service Line Leadership (Institute Lead and Institute Chief) to set direction and outline strategic initiatives and performance improvement opportunities. Develops and supports the creation and execution of FHSC System Service Line strategic plans. Develops and recommends viable scenarios related to the FHSC System Service Line strategic plans, growth initiatives, and manages risks through execution of the plan in partnership with other team members. Assists in the preparation and submission of FHSC System Service Line strategic budget recommendations. Manages cross-functional projects through completion and support the initiatives with data-driven insights This role will support our AHS Surg-Admin division, specifically the Plastic and Burn Surgery, Dermatology, & ECMO Service Lines.
