About The Position

As a Director - Strategic Initiatives & Implementation PMO located by one of the core hubs: You’ll get to: Report directly to Vice President, Indirect Spend The role acts as a strategic partner in the Indirect Category Leaders and “right hand” to the Indirect VP, driving strategic initiatives, process improvements, project implementation and executive presentations in a pseudo–Chief Of Staff capacity. Key projects and initiatives will span cross-functional departments, business units and across the globe. This position serves as an integrator between the indirect category teams and supporting function to achieve operational excellence with significant exposure to the VP of Indirect Procurement and broader GSM Staff. Lead and oversee strategic projects from planning through execution and post-launch support. Translate high-level strategies into actionable plans, timelines, and measurable outcomes. Champion process optimization and standardization to reduce friction and improve efficiency. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between indirect categories (e.g. IT, Marketing, enterprise services, business process outsourcing, Finance, GSM Center Of Excellence (COE), and business stakeholders). Manage indirect departmental performance metrics in alignment with organizational goals. Provide executive-level reporting on project progress, risks, and portfolio health. As week as support in executive level presentation creation. Support annual planning / sourcing calendar cycles, executive presentations, and other business rhythm activities. Act as the voice of the department managing internal communications and change initiatives. Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and adoption of best practices. Analyze data, benchmark performance, and implement streamlined tools and templates. Ensure indirect teams are equipped with necessary documentation and training to perform role. Requirements

  • 8-12 years of progressive experience in project management, chief of staff, process engineering or procurement
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, finance or data science
  • Proven track record of leading multiple projects of various sizes without losing the big picture
  • Demonstrated success in influencing and coordinating resources across various business levels of organization and geographies without direct authority
  • Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills, ability to translate data into actionable insights

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with the source to pay ecosystem a plus
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) and/or six sigma green belt
  • Expert in PowerPoint and/or strong data visualization skills (Power BI)
