About The Position

As the Director of Strategy & Analytics, you will play a critical role in shaping data-driven decision-making for the foodservice program of one of our top clients, a global financial services company. You will translate complex data into compelling analyses and intuitive dashboards that inform strategy and guide action. Serving as a trusted partner to the operations team, you will lead reporting on global key performance indicators across financial, operational, and other areas. You will leverage historical data and forecasting methods to measure performance against KPIs, ensuring ongoing alignment with budget targets and client expectations. As the primary point of contact for all data and reporting needs, you will own data management for the account end-to-end. You will also collaborate closely with regional and global teams to deliver actionable insights and cost analyses for the foodservice program and identify improvement opportunities through clear, compelling analyses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business strategy, business analytics, economics, finance, statistics, or a related field
  • 9+ years of experience in an analytical or consultative role
  • Ability to develop and own stakeholder relationships (at all levels)
  • Great work ethic with a strong sense of urgency to support teammates and stakeholders
  • Able to pivot as needs and priorities change
  • Acute attention to detail and track record of delivering pristine reports
  • Advanced data visualization (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) skills

Nice To Haves

  • Foodservice experience preferred, but not required
  • Professional experience using the following is desired, but not required:
  • SQL

Responsibilities

  • Work with Global Account team to execute the account strategy in accordance with the terms of the global contract and the KPI measurements contained; delivering upon both the Compass strategic goals and the obligations required of the client
  • Drive a culture of analytics and the importance of data throughout all levels of the account from executive leadership to on-site operations teams
  • Think strategically about how to measure performance and recommend changes that will improve KPIs, operational processes, financial outcomes, the guest experience, and more
  • Develop collaborative relationships with client executives and operations leaders to understand strategic priorities and business objectives
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members
  • Present complex data and insights to non-technical audiences in a clear and compelling manner
  • Establish data collection and analytic processes and tools (e.g. automation, financial reporting, dashboards, etc.) that advance strategic and enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Communicate frequently and clearly to leadership on the team’s progress, key accomplishments, and areas for improvement
