Itron is looking for a Global Director of Supply Chain Architecture & Resiliency who will be responsible for designing and continuously evolving a resilient, customer-centric supply chain architecture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, operations, business, or a related field or equivalent experience (MBA preferred).
  • Significant supply chain or operations leadership experience, typically 10+ years.
  • Demonstrated experience leading supply chain resiliency, strategy, or transformation initiatives in a complex, global environment.
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams with accountability, clarity, and customer focus.
  • Experience navigating ambiguity and making sound, data‑driven decisions in high‑pressure or rapidly evolving situations.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams and levels.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with global, multi‑tier supply chains in the Utilities & Energy technology space or other highly regulated industries.
  • Background in scenario modeling, network optimization, or digital supply chain tools.
  • Familiarity with digital‑twin technologies, predictive analytics, or AI‑driven risk detection.
  • Demonstrated capability in organizational change management and building innovative, agile operating models.

Responsibilities

  • Supply Chain Architecture & Strategy Design and continuously evolve a resilient, customer‑centric supply chain architecture aligned across S&OP, sourcing tiers, manufacturing capability and capacity, logistics, and inventory.
  • Develop and execute multi‑year resiliency roadmaps that support business strategy and uphold customer commitments across the Utilities & Energy technology ecosystem.
  • Ensure visibility, transparency, and alignment across all supply chain nodes to support scalable growth.
  • Resiliency & Risk Management Lead the end‑to‑end supply chain resiliency framework, ensuring the organization can absorb, recover, and adapt during disruptions.
  • Establish accountable governance mechanisms, prioritization criteria, and policies for resiliency initiatives.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize risk across demand, supply, capacity, logistics, regulatory, and geopolitical domains.
  • Champion proactive mitigation strategies, scenario‑based contingency plans, and crisis response playbooks that protect customer outcomes and business continuity.
  • Governance & Operating Model Lead or co‑chair the cross‑functional Supply Chain Resiliency Council to ensure aligned governance, communication, and escalation pathways.
  • Provide authentic, data‑driven guidance to executive leadership on supply chain risk, trade‑offs, and value protection.
  • Define decision rights, performance metrics, and accountability structures that encourage agile and effective resiliency execution.
  • Process & Capability Development Standardize playbooks, scenario planning, and post‑incident reviews to strengthen organizational learning and operational consistency.
  • Coach and develop cross‑functional team members across global operations and PBU teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
  • Build capabilities that drive agility, adaptability, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.
  • Technology & Analytics Enablement Partner with IT and Analytics teams to implement end‑to‑end visibility solutions and early‑warning systems grounded in data integrity and transparency.
  • Guide adoption of modeling, simulation, network design, and digital‑twin technologies to support informed decision‑making.
  • Advance AI‑enabled early‑warning indicators for geopolitical, supplier, and demand‑related risks.
  • Champion change initiatives that elevate technology adoption and evolve processes as resiliency matures.
  • Stakeholder Leadership Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights on supply chain risk, strategic investment decisions, and enterprise preparedness.
  • Build strong, authentic relationships with internal stakeholders and strategic suppliers to reinforce a collaborative, customer‑centric supply chain network.
