Director, Technical Program Manager (Chief of Staff) GEICO is on a multi-year journey to re-platform the Insurance industry, removing friction across Customers, Partners, Marketplace, Segments, Channels, and Experiences. GEICO is looking to bring on board a Director Technical Program Management. This Director support directly the Enterprise Engineering organization in Geico and will collaborate with technology partners on high priority projects. A key priority will be to define and lead operational excellence across all of GEICO’s Enterprise Engineering organization with other technology stakeholders , while partnering with executive leadership and communicating regularly to ensure operational priorities are aligned with strategic company goals . This role will also support infra and human resource budgetary for multiple initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in technology, business, operations, or related field degrees or work experience .
  • 8+ years of experience in program management .
  • Must be familiar with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) .
  • Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully leading and executing projects .
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences .
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and guide stakeholders at all levels of the organization .

Responsibilities

  • Directly support the Enterprise Engineering VP in ensuring the success of key priorities: influencing, tracking, communicating, and removing roadblocks across various functions (product, design, business, etc.) to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Ensuring that the organization’s strategies are clearly defined, operationally feasible , and aligned across teams. This includes facilitating the annual strategic planning cycle and translating broad strategic objectives into measurable initiatives .
  • Partner with other pillars outside service to drive horizontal deliveries .
  • Acting as a gatekeeper and sounding board for executives, preparing briefing materials, and facilitating their engagement with key priorities .
  • Analyzing metrics, preparing reports, and presenting insights to executives to support informed decision-making
  • Promote AI first mindset across technical roadmap and influence initiatives and roadmaps .
  • Defines and executes Technology OKRs and technical business reviews (TBR) .
  • Collaborates with business operations on company-wide OKRs in QBR s and MBRs
  • Responsible for coordinating and follow up to ensure that initiatives meet our approved budget, timeline, service reliability, quality standards, objectives , and the strategic plan .
  • Drive data driven culture, rigor, and mindset .
