The Director, U.S. Violence Prevention & Safety Practice is the senior leader accountable for the performance, expansion, and external standing of Moonshot’s U.S. portfolio. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the Director leads all U.S. project delivery for the online violence prevention and safety practices and sets the strategic and operational direction of these practices. They establish and enforce a high bar for excellence - ensuring that Moonshot’s programs deliver measurable impact, meet contractual and financial commitments, operate with rigor and discipline, and consistently position the organization for renewal and sustained growth. In addition to portfolio oversight, the Director will strengthen and formalize delivery standards across the U.S. This includes codifying existing best practices, implementing consistent project management systems, training managers on shared expectations, and driving continuous improvement in operational performance. The Director will build the infrastructure necessary to support disciplined, scalable growth. In parallel, the Director drives revenue expansion for the U.S. practice. This includes originating and shaping new opportunities, cultivating senior-level relationships across the homeland security and violence prevention ecosystem, representing Moonshot in public and professional forums, and converting practitioner credibility into awarded work. The ideal candidate brings substantial, hands-on experience within homeland security, counterterrorism, public safety, or violence prevention environments, as well as significant experience within a consulting or professional services firm serving government clients. They have a demonstrated understanding of how high-performing firms standardize delivery, manage contracts, and maintain client relationships at scale.
