About The Position

Role: DIRO Action Officer 2 ( supporting the CMO) FTE: 1 LOE: 100% Clearance: Public Trust (required) Minimum degree: Bachelor’s degree Remote delivery: on- site in Washington D.C.; potential ad-hoc travel as needed Roles and Responsibilities: Strategic Support: Assist the CMO/Senior Advisor in developing, implementing, and tracking strategic priorities and initiatives Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and reports for high-level meetings and engagements Conduct research and analysis to inform decision-making and policy development Operational Coordination: Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistics for internal and external engagements Track action items, deadlines, and deliverables, ensuring timely completion and follow-up Serve as a liaison between the CMO/Senior Advisor and other ARPA-H teams, government agencies, and external partners Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Draft correspondence, talking points, and communications on behalf of the CMO/Senior Advisor Facilitate information flow and ensure alignment across teams and projects Support outreach and engagement activities with key stakeholders, including federal agencies, academic institutions, and industry partners Project Management: Lead or support special projects and initiatives as assigned by the CMO/Senior Advisor Monitor project progress, identify risks, and recommend solutions to overcome obstacles

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment (government, healthcare, research, or consulting preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity
  • Public Trust clearance (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in public health, biomedical sciences, health policy, or related field preferred
  • Experience supporting senior executives or government officials is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with biomedical research, health innovation, or federal health agencies is a plus
  • Working in a start-up environment is a plus
