About The Position

The Dishwasher position is a part-time role responsible for supporting kitchen operations and promoting the Hoffman Estates Park District and Poplar Creek Country Club. This position ensures the coordination and cleanliness of food service operations for the restaurant, bar, banquets, weddings, and golf outings, meeting the expectations of all guests.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of kitchen sanitation.
Valid Illinois Drivers License.
Minimum age 18 years old.
Ability to handle stressful situations involving the public and staff.
Ability to respond appropriately to guest needs.
Ability to work prolonged hours, including nights and days as needed.
Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.
Ability to work varied schedules.
Ability to work in difficult climate conditions.
Ability to lift and carry heavy crates and containers.
Ability to follow directions and perform responsibilities as described.

Responsibilities

Sanitize and clean all plates, glasses, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
Maintain personal cleanliness and wear proper uniform, including a hat.
At the start of each shift, inspect soap, sanitizer, and salt containers to ensure they are full.
Inspect all washed items for food buildup, lipstick, or residue before returning to storage.
Properly rack glasses and return them to storage or the bar area.
Change water in the upstairs dish machine during busy shifts.
Keep all pots and pans organized and free of clutter.
Maintain both dishwashing areas in a clean and organized condition.
Check the cleaning schedule and complete assigned tasks
Assist with food preparation as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
Greet guests in a friendly manner when necessary.
Be courteous and respectful at all times.
Support, promote, and make recommendations regarding all safety, health, and loss control policies adopted by the Park District.
Be familiar with and adhere to the Employee Safety Manual.
