About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and experienced leader to join our team as a Dispatch Manager at SRM Concrete. The Dispatch Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day dispatch operations at the plant, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of concrete while maintaining strong communication between customers, drivers, and plant personnel. This role plays a key part in driving customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and team performance.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dispatch-related systems.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards preferred.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to complete SRM’s pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support dispatch personnel and drivers, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Oversee daily dispatch operations to ensure efficient scheduling and on-time delivery of concrete.
  • Coordinate closely with plant managers, drivers, and sales teams to meet customer demands.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring excellent service and resolving any delivery or scheduling issues.
  • Monitor workloads, routes, and delivery schedules to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Track and evaluate key performance metrics to improve operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance dispatch operations.
  • Conduct team meetings, training, and performance evaluations to support employee development.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
