About The Position

SUMMARY: The Orientation Facilitator will lead weekly onboarding sessions designed to equip prospective drivers with the qualifications necessary to operate commercial vehicles. The facilitator orchestrates various elements of the orientation process, including scheduling presenters, organizing essential documents, and conducting evaluations to ensure the effectiveness of the process.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 plus years Office experience.
  • Basic computer skills required. For example generating simple letters spreadsheets and creating simple queries.
  • Working Knowledge of TDCWMS a requirement.

  • Exceptional communication and people skills.
  • Ability to access and manage data through spreadsheets and dashboards.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation Part 395.
  • One year of experience in the transportation field

Responsibilities

  • Accurately track participants attending orientation at the designated locations.
  • Ensure the transportation and accommodation needs are adequately addressed for new hires during their participation in the orientation process.
  • Facilitate orientation content aimed at preparing new team members for driving roles. This involves presenting comprehensive training materials, conducting interactive sessions, and providing hands-on demonstrations.
  • Process and distribute documents to departments.
  • Collaborate with departments to schedule presenters.
  • Oversee webcast learning sessions to deliver a cohesive message regarding the company's culture, values, and policies.
  • Develop a structured agenda to coordinate onboarding activities, offering guidance and assistance to new hires.
  • Asist new hires in achieving a successful transition into Tyson Transportation.
  • Compile records of hours worked for orientation new hires.
  • Update dispatch systems to allow drivers to be dispatched at orientation completion.
  • Other duties as assigned.
