About The Position

This role manages all supply chain activities in support of Anchor Harvey operational objectives. This position is responsible for safety, staffing levels, and financials performance of the distribution center.

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree
  • Prior Warehouse/ Distribution/ Logistics Management.
  • Customs experience.
  • Inventory Control experience.
  • The position must have strong analytical skills, being able to assess situations planned or otherwise and offer immediate or long term solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required. The position must be able to communicate with employees effectively at all times as well as internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Define and establish an environment and behaviors that ensure a safe and positive workplace for all employees.
  • Manage all aspects of the distribution center budget, including corporate resources in a manner that provides superlative return on investment.
  • Direct and manage the world class operations of the Schaumburg, IL distribution centers.
  • Meet logistics timing demands throughout Anchor Harvey operations and distribution centers by establishing, advising best routing and cost for internal/external customer and supplier shipments.
  • Maintain strong financial records for the company by overseeing warehouse transactions are performed in compliance with Anchor Harvey guidelines and maintaining world class inventory processing accuracy (99.8%).
  • Evaluate Best Practices within the industry. Remain informed of industry changes and external stakeholder requirements that may impact the corporation, or department.
  • Ensure on time delivery (OTD) of customer orders, both internal (95%) and external (99.5%).
  • Assist customer service department to ensure that Anchor Harvey is meeting customer expectations with regards to documentation, delivery, communication and customer specific requirements
  • Responsible for all supervisory functions related to department staff including safety and environmental compliance, overtime/vacation/absenteeism coverages, work force planning, personnel related issues, cross-training and performance management.
  • Follow company policies, procedures and guidelines including the company handbook.
  • Offer plant/companywide continuous improvement suggestions.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
