Supervisor!

Our Shift Supervisors in our Distribution Center are responsible for the
oversight and direction of Distribution Center (DC) Team Members. They will
spend a large portion of the workday on the DC floor providing visible
leadership and driving a motivated, positive, productive workforce to ensure
safety, quality, and production standards are met.

Requirements

• Associates Degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Knowledge of warehousing methods, procedures and techniques utilized in handling and storing stock items.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Must be able to demonstrate strong and effective leadership skills.
• Ability to motivate, develop and provide constructive feedback to employees as needed.
• Must be comfortable with all levels of employees and have the ability to drive positive change.
• Work is performed in an office and warehouse setting.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 55 pounds, as necessary.
• Physical requirements include, but are not limited to, standing, lifting, carrying and loading supplies and equipment for periods of time.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of the correct methods and procedures of loading and unloading transport carriers and inventory methods and procedures is preferred.
• At least one year of previous supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for hiring, salary administration, performance management, coaching, mentoring and corrective actions for direct reports. They are responsible for allocating work and monitoring productivity.
• Oversee shipping, receiving, and stock handling procedures to ensure orderly, efficient, and timely receipt and shipment of goods.
• Establish and monitor daily and weekly schedules and priorities; ensure policies and procedures are adhered to and resources are utilized appropriately in order to control costs.
• Instruct assigned personnel in proper and safe stock handling methods in order to maintain a safe work location and minimize damage to stock.
• Work with Assistant Managers and other DC supervisors on a daily basis to keep open lines of communication from all areas of the business directly to the DC floor, to ensure deadlines will be met and appropriate labor adjustments are made timely.
• Review paperwork to ensure proper completion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
