About The Position

We are seeking a Distribution Field Technician to join our Distribution Group in Orlando, FL, supporting third-party attachment (Telecom Joint Use) for a major energy provider. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for collecting data points on existing power poles, identifying equipment such as transformers, breakers, switches, telecom and power lines, taking measurements, marking heights of lines, and capturing photographic evidence. You will play a crucial role in supporting the Distribution Design Team for Florida.

Requirements

Experience in data collection and field engineering.
Knowledge of the electric utility industry and power distribution.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable working outdoors.
High School Diploma required
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.

Nice To Haves

Associate's Degree is a plus.
Prior field utility experience is beneficial but not required.
Tech-savvy individual with the ability to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

Collect data points on existing power poles.
