Position Overview: We are looking for a distribution specialist who can demonstrate thorough knowledge of inventory control, material transfers, loading and unloading non-hazardous materials, and packaging.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to assist in the departmental training program.
  • Physically able to roll full 55-gallon drums, lift 50-pound bags, climb long vertical ladders, move heavy equipment, and have the ability to move about freely in cramped quarters.
  • Must possess adequate math skills to complete accurate paperwork.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, dependent on workload.
  • Self-motivated with mutual respect for fellow associates.
  • Ability to work well with others across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to function with minimal supervision after receiving appropriate training.
  • Ability to prioritize work schedule and adapt to schedule changes.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the Safe Forklift Operation Training Program within the first month of employment.
  • Become familiar with and thoroughly understand the proper care and use of all personal protective equipment needed for safe chemical processing operations (i.e., respirators, hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, acid suits, etc.) and to use these in daily tasks as required.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform basic (SAP) transactions as required for essential job functions.
  • Demonstrate proper drum handling techniques while moving full 55-gallon drums on and off pallets, when unassisted and by hand.
  • Learn and safely demonstrate proper cylinder handling techniques while transferring cylinders from one location to another.
  • Required to maintain the logistics area, keeping it clean and orderly. This includes general maintenance of Logistics equipment.
  • Participate and complete all assigned Safety requirements as required by the Sivance.
  • Perform routine duties when necessary to ensure a safe and reliable Shipping and Receiving Operation.
  • Assist with the unloading, unpacking, transporting, and labeling of inbound shipments.
  • Ensure that all shipments that are received have a credible origin and substantial documentation.
  • Ensure that all scrap packaging is loaded safely for disposal vendors.
  • Ensure all receiving paperwork is routed correctly and promptly.
  • Perform inventory control functions and pad management in the logistics responsible areas.
  • Other responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor or Supply Chain Manager.
