About The Position

Goodwill of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is seeking an experienced and motivated District Manager to lead our Northeast territory in Cleveland, Ohio. This role is responsible for overseeing multiple retail store locations and driving performance in customer service, employee engagement, sales growth, and operational excellence. The District Manager provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for multiple retail store locations within their assigned district. They partner with the Retail Director to ensure all locations achieve maximum sales and profitability while maintaining operational excellence, customer service standards, and compliance with company policies and procedures. The District Manager is responsible for developing and coaching store leadership teams, analyzing performance metrics, driving business results, and ensuring consistent execution of retail standards across all assigned locations. This role requires extensive travel within the assigned district, including weekend work and short-notice assignments for store stabilization and coverage needs. Must maintain reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work effectively across various geographic locations while adapting to different site-specific operational requirements.

Requirements

  • 4 plus years of prior external management experience or 2 years of internal management experience.
  • Experience in retail sales or demonstrated potential for management as evidenced by successful progression through the position of increasing responsibility and authority.
  • Experience with the operations of personal computers.
  • Plan and direct the work of others
  • Use personal judgment and information to make business decisions and solve problems.
  • Complete and keep accurate business records.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills.
  • Effective communication skills are necessary to perform essential job functions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to perform a wide range of duties.
  • Know different shades and tones of color.
  • Know merchandise within a variety of categories: name brand, antiques, vintage, collectibles, to name a few.
  • Must maintain reliable transportation
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have the ability to work effectively across various geographic locations while adapting to different site-specific operational requirements.
