About The Position

As a District Sales Associate (DSA), you will join Wyffels Hybrids through a structured development program designed to prepare high-potential talent for future District Sales Manager (DSM) roles. Reporting to the Region Manager, the DSA supports the sales team across a range of sales-related activities while building the skills, experience, and knowledge needed for territory leadership. Upon completion of the program, the individual may be promoted into a District Sales Manager role in a designated territory. Why Wyffels? Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience, with at least four years of progressive responsibility in the agriculture industry.
  • Strong consultative sales and relationship-building skills, with the ability to understand customer business needs and deliver solutions that create long-term value
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence, present, and build trust with diverse audiences
  • Proven one-on-one selling skills with a results-driven mindset
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities, supported by sound judgment and reasoning skills
  • Ability to analyze and calculate figures such as pricing, discounts, commissions, and sales metrics
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct
  • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and contributing to a positive team culture
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage territory priorities and meet deadlines
  • Customer-focused mindset with a dedication to delivering exceptional service and value
  • Effective presentation skills for both individual and group settings
  • Proficiency with computer technology and sales-related tools (CRM, reporting, communication platforms, etc.)
  • Willingness to reside within the assigned sales territory and travel as required
  • Valid driver’s license with a responsible driving record

Responsibilities

  • Partner with District Sales Managers (DSMs) by traveling on sales calls and supporting customer interactions as directed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers through in-person meetings, phone calls, and email communication.
  • Prospect and cold-call potential new customers to grow the customer base and expand market presence.
  • Support the recruitment, training, and motivation of Seed Representatives within the district.
  • Analyze the district territory to develop market insights, identify opportunities, and help determine strategies that increase market share and demand for Wyffels Hybrids.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the Wyffels brand, product portfolio, competitive offerings, and preferred products within the district.
  • Advise customers on product updates, innovations, and special promotions.
  • Assist DSMs with preparing sales proposals and presentations.
  • Support sales negotiations, agreement execution, and closing activities.
  • Accurately record sales activity, orders, and customer information.
  • Review sales performance against company goals and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Represent Wyffels Hybrids at trade shows, industry events, and product demonstrations.
  • Participate in sales training programs and regional meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of district and company objectives.
