District Sales Manager Job Duties and Responsibilities Sales Leadership Leads a sales team to execute Ricoh’s Equipment and Services Strategy, capabilities, standards, and actions. Drives profitable equipment and services growth within assigned accounts, including contract retention, expansion, and the addition of new services. Manages new business development initiatives, with a focus on Ricoh’s hardware and market‑based services portfolio. Increases market share for the services portfolio by championing and driving newly added offerings. Holds Account Managers accountable for sales activities, KPI achievement, and closing business that drives deeper account penetration. Sets clear expectations and creates rigor and routine by inspecting activities that directly support sales objectives. Collaborates with internal resources to align support, activities, and talent needed to deliver sales outcomes. Partners with peers and specialty teams to resolve issues and strengthen processes that support growth. Coaching and Talent Development Coaches and develops team members to strengthen selling competencies and execution. Assesses talent and identifies both strengths and development areas. Coaches Account Managers through the defined selling methodology, ensuring mastery of key fundamentals. Creates development plans to continually challenge Account Managers to elevate performance. Business Management Proactively manages activities to achieve company financial targets. Drives performance through KPI execution. Increases gross profit across all lines of business. Reviews and adjusts strategies and actions based on district P&L needs. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications) Typically Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field. 7+ years of experience selling products and services. 5+ years of sales management experience. Consultative selling experience. Industry experience preferred. Strong knowledge and understanding of P&L management. Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands Works primarily in an office environment with standard lighting, ventilation, temperature, and noise levels. Experiences cyclical stress due to frequent goals and deadlines, as well as daily stress related to decision‑making responsibilities. Mostly sedentary work with periodic walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting or carrying items under 10 lbs. (e.g., papers, files, small equipment). Requires moderate dexterity and regular use of standard office tools (keyboard, calculator, hand tools). Periodic customer site visits required; locations may not always be accessible by public transportation.
