The District Sales Manager Sr. is responsible for driving wholesale and retail sales performance, profitability, and market penetration within an assigned zone by leading and partnering with dealerships. This role requires a self starter with a strong sales background, excellent relationship building skills, and the ability to succeed in a competitive environment while supporting Honda’s mission to bring the joy and freedom of mobility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work related experience
  • Two to five years of wholesale automotive sales or retail automotive sales experience
  • Demonstrated history of achieving and exceeding sales objectives
  • Ability to organize, motivate, and lead others toward common goals
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Extensive travel required
  • Future relocation required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with marketing, advertising, and merchandising is preferred
  • Experience in report writing and delivering large group presentations

Responsibilities

  • Achieve wholesale and retail sales objectives, market penetration targets, and divisional goals
  • Conduct in dealership sales training to improve customer satisfaction and sales performance
  • Assist dealers with floor planning, promotions, merchandising, and advertising strategies
  • Build, maintain, and develop dealership relationships, accounts, and contracts
  • Review and analyze dealership financial performance and key business metrics
  • Support dealers in improving sales processes to increase market share and profitability
