Job Summary: Dock Material Handler is responsible for operating the powered industrial truck and forklift to move product, equipment, or materials.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to work extended hours and weekends if needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience is preferred.
- Previous experience working in production/manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Previous powered industrial truck and forklift experience is preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work independently without constant supervision.
- Must be able to problem solve.
- Must have great attention to detail.
- Must be able to work in cold environment.
- Must be able to become certified operator for both the powered industrial truck and forklift.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen and physical.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience is preferred.
- Previous experience working in production/manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Previous powered industrial truck and forklift experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for operating a powered industrial truck and forklift safely.
- Responsible for pre-operational inspections of the powered industrial truck and forklift.
- Operate a scanner and learn the required transactions in the process.
- Responsible for picking both fresh and frozen products.
- Responsible for loading and unloading trucks along with completing the necessary documentation.
- Maintenance and good housekeeping duties.
- Repair and sort pallets.
- Other duties as assigned.
