About The Position

The Document Control Coordinator is responsible for creating, maintaining, and controlling quality-related documentation to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all company operations. This role supports the development and maintenance of work instructions, process flows, and packaging specifications, particularly for rework and repackaging activities. The position plays a key part in helping the company align with ISO certification requirements and meet customer and supplier quality expectations.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree (preferred in Business Administration, Quality, or a related technical field).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in document control, quality administration, or related role in a manufacturing, distribution, or automotive environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to interpret and apply quality system standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949 awareness helpful).
  • Familiarity with controlled documentation systems and revision control practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting ISO certification or internal quality audits.
  • Background in automotive or aftermarket parts industry.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement tools (e.g., 5S, process mapping, root cause analysis).
  • Experience using document management or quality software (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, QMS, or ERP-integrated tools).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and maintain controlled documents including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), process flow diagrams, and packaging specifications.
  • Work closely with production and warehouse personnel to document operational processes and ensure accuracy in work instructions.
  • Control document revisions and distribution in accordance with ISO and internal quality management system (QMS) requirements.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of document control procedures to meet ISO certification goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain) to ensure documents reflect current practices and customer requirements.
  • Participate in internal audits and assist in preparation for external audits (ISO, customer, or supplier).
  • Maintain organized electronic and hard copy document files to ensure accessibility and traceability.
  • Track changes in quality or operational processes and update associated documentation in a timely manner.
  • Conduct training or communication sessions to inform employees of new or revised procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance compliance, efficiency, and consistency across the organization.
