We are seeking a dependable and courteous Donation Pickup Laborer to assist with the collection, loading, and unloading of donated items. This physically demanding role involves handling heavy furniture and multiple boxes while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor with donors and customers. The ideal candidate will also support store operations by helping with furniture setup and customer assistance.
Requirements
- Ability to lift and move heavy items up to 75 lbs.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with furniture handling and loading preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist the driver in picking up donations from various locations.
- Load and secure heavy furniture and multiple boxes onto the trailer.
- Provide tax-deductible donation forms to donors and ensure positive interaction.
- Unload donations at the store and assist with sorting and staging.
- Move and arrange furniture within the store as directed.
- Help customers load purchased furniture into their vehicles.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the loading/unloading areas.
- Assist as needed throughout the store, including the store donation drop-off area.
