Position Summary: The Draftsman supports the remodeling process and quality assurance through providing detailed and accurate information for purchasing and installation and conducting field inspections. The Draftsman reviews the sales contract documents with the customer to ensure all components of the project have been considered and all products are accurate.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in drafting, construction, home remodeling, or a related field required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs as needed, carry 25lbs regularly, and stand for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Must be able to bend, reach, squat, twist and kneel.
  • Ability to travel to customer homes and job sites to take accurate field measurements
  • Must be able to carry and present product samples, tools, or materials weighing up to 15 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while preparing drawings and working on a computer
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, and navigate active construction or remodeling environments as needed

Responsibilities

  • Take accurate field measurements and produce detailed drawings of kitchen and bath projects for use by all departments
  • Review and confirm sales contract documents with customers to ensure accuracy and alignment with production requirements
  • Present and verify products with customers using physical samples and digital images to confirm selections and reduce disputes
  • Reconcile sales information and update digital work reports based on field measurements and customer feedback
  • Conduct inspections of ongoing jobs and warranty service cases, providing detailed feedback to Installation and Service Departments
  • Perform follow-up work appointments with prior customers to support satisfaction and generate additional revenue opportunities
  • Conduct EPA-required lead testing on painted surfaces to ensure compliance with regulations and proper installation procedures.
